David Fernando Correa Agudelo
David Fernando Correa Agudelo is from Medellín - Colombia. He has completed his thesis on working with some relational modules in the Caribbean coast with the local community, mixing his hostel business plan with a social entrepreneurship and social innovation to promote these locations.
He is working as a lecturer in a local University (Tecnológico de Antioquia) here in Medellín, teaching financial markets. He joined The Comuna Project ( NGO). He started teaching students from lower socioeconomic background that would be leading the incubator (Seed bank) with the students from his international business program at Universidad Católica de Pereira.
The idea was to promote the communities base of tourism in the Colombian coffee cultural landscape established by UNESCO, developing the SDG in The Department of Risaralda, also part of the EJE CAFETERO. He is working to replicate his work in Pereira and Medellín while fighting against Covid-19.
He is improvising and promoting different strategies through SDG goals and to offer a conscious type of tourism as of promoting good manners and behaviours with local people and to be active change agents in closer futures with the new era of sustainable tourism.
